• 10/2024, Yonatan presents the lab's work in a special UCSD neurobiology seminar.

• 6/2024, Chih-Ying Su and Yonatan present collaborative work at ISOT (International Symposium on Olfaction and Taste).
  The presentations were part of the session "Models and mechanisms of plasticity and learning in early olfactory networks session" which Yonatan co-organized with Elisa Galliano (Cambridge).

• 6/2024, Yonatan is selected for the Theoretical Visiting Scientists Program at the Okinawa Institute for Science and Technology.
  He will visit OIST to develop a research program on the neural basis of camouflage.

• 5/2024, Palka Puri's paper is published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Congratulations Palka!
  This is collaborative work with Chih-Ying Su's lab on preprocessing of olfactory information in the sensory periphery, and its contributions to odor classification.

• 11/2023, Bin Wang defends his dissertation and graduates with a PhD in physics.
  Congratulations Bin! We wish you the best of luck in your postdoc! 

• 9/2023, The lab receives a 4-year CRCNS grant from the NIH.
  The grant funds work with Arseny Finkelstein (Tel Aviv University) on multi-region brain activity supporting learned behaviors.

• 6/2023, Palka Puri awarded Friends of the International Center Fellowship. Congratulations!

• 6/2023, Shiva Azizpour Lindi joins as a PhD student. Welcome!

• 5/2022, The lab receives two Innovative Research Grant awards from the Kavli Institute for Brain and Mind.
  -- Project 1, in collaboration with Chih-Ying Su: How size and shape of sensory dendrites influence chemosensory function?
  -- Project 2, in collaboration with Dimitri Deheyn: Balance between centralized and peripheral information processing in cephalopods.
  We thank the Kavli Institute for its support and are excited to work on these projects.
